Tim Scully

Tim’s journey as a Physiotherapist began with a distinction in his Masters degree in Physiotherapy from The University of Birmingham. This achievement was built upon a foundation of sporting triumphs and an initial degree in Sports Technology from the renowned Loughborough University.

Tim’s comprehensive training in physiotherapy is enriched by diverse experiences, including working within the NHS, partnering with premiership rugby clubs, and completing two placements with Carter & George before joining us full-time as a Physiotherapist, with a interest in sports injuries.

From an early age, Tim has been immersed in high-level rugby and elite swimming, sparking a lifelong fascination with pre-habilitation and rehabilitation for injury prevention and performance enhancement. Pursuing this interest further, he has earned additional qualifications in level 3 sports massage, taping, pitch-side first aid, and dry needling and acupuncture – a specialized technique known for alleviating muscular pain, particularly in the back area.

Specializing in addressing shoulder pain and lower back pain, as well as in Rehabilitation & Pre-habilitation, Tim is dedicated to helping clients regain strength and mobility while preventing future injuries. Tim has himself been a patient of Carter & George, and from his own experience, can empathise with those suffering with long term pain – and has a passion to help them.

Outside the clinic, Tim enjoys spending quality time with his young family, training for long-distance open water swimming, and indulging in any sport that comes his way.

Tim is based permanently at our Hertford practice. If you require a Physiotherapist based in Radlett or Hitchin, please click here to explore the team.
