Neck pain is the second most common condition we see in our clinic, just behind lower back pain. Studies have shown that 50% of adults will suffer with long term neck pain throughout their lifetime. Neck pain can lead to shoulder pain and headaches if it isn’t treated quickly.
The majority of neck pain is caused by muscular tightness in the upper back, shoulders and neck. It can also be caused by wear and tear, prolapsed discs and a traumatic injury such as whiplash. The good news is that it is almost always treated successfully with Physiotherapy.
As Physiotherapists, we take a deep look as to why you are in pain, whether that be a movement issue or something else. Once we have found out what exactly is causing your pain, we can formulate a treatment plan to fix the problem.
